NOV 13 - Sold Out - Gelato & the forbidden fruit - juiced, fermented, and frozen
Several months ago, the first cider only bar opened in the LES, and hard ciders have impressed even the wine snobs. Ciders are totally in! We love them and we have teamed up with Madame Claude Wine to explore the world of the forbidden apple.
Gelato & the Forbidden Fruit is a mixed Gelato Making event:
30% TASTING & SAVORIES - Discover Cider with Loulou. She is the resident expert at the legendary Madame Claude Wines. As you do that, you can also get a taste of some local foods, as we set the stage for our gelato class.
40% SCHOOL of SCIENCE - A mix of facts, trivia, & techniques with an opportunity to roll your sleeves and work in teams to make craft gelato from scratch (to go with tart TART, baked by Choc-o-Pain).
30% SWEET SURPRISE - A blind tasting adventure, that will challenge your palates. Followed by a sampling of special Apple Tarts, baked by Choc-o-Pain Bakery in Jersey City. BTW you will be among the first to taste this new seasonal special, not yet released. Right on time for Thanksgiving!
